Spatial Reconfiguration & Interior
A small weekend residence for an overseas family who enjoys collecting folk crafts objects.
The panelled pitched ceiling which took reference from stories about a farmhouse the family had lived in, was created as the main feature of the gallery. This long and narrow skylight also acts as the visual cue towards the pool garden. As a result, a three-dimensional visual & circulatory relationship takes place in a house full of peepholes, ladders & views of trees and bushes beyond.
A few cozy spots for gaming or reading are inserted above the communal areas through carpentry integration. Considerable amount of storage cabinets at high level is also created to take full advantage of the lofty ceiling volume for winter wardrobes or childhood keepsakes.
